Windows programs under Linux using Wine, CrossOver & Co.


Who knows not the problem: the Linux community offers everything from software to
what you need, but would like to install a special program. With Wine brings Linux
already a program, under which let some Windows programs install.
Wine is a project which supports a lot of Windows software.
Among other games as well. A complete list of supported Windows software can be found on the project site in the Apps Database.

CrossOver is an enhanced version of Wine and supports more software than Wine.

My conclusion: I have so far all the programs I was well on Windows (of course non-Windows programs) :-) can install with CrossOver Linux.

Wine however I was a bit disappointed because the game "Counter-Strike" although available, but install can not play. On the cause of research, I still am.
